The residents of two Timor-Leste communities, Batugade and Atauro, will soon be able to prepare their communities for the potential impacts of climate change on their own. This effort aligns with the goals of the Coral Triangle Initiative’s Regional Plan of Action.
The Coastal and Marine Resources Management in the Coral Triangle: Southeast Asia (CTI Southeast Asia) project held its Project Scoping, Visioning, and Team Building (PSVT) Workshop at the Astoria Hotel in Manila, Philippines, on August 16, 2012. The activity was designed to help the consultant team, support staff, and associates understand the project’s objectives, strategies, and interventions.
This half-day event, which will be held at Crowne Plaza Hotel In Manila on Sept 18, 2012 will feature a special key note presentation by one of the world’s leading experts and pioneers in Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) - Mr. Carlos Rodrigiez.

The CTI-CFF will hold a Local Government Network Forum on December 3-7, 2012 in Manila, Philippines to highlight the success and strengthen the alliance of local leaders who are championing marine conservation and coastal management activities in the Coral Triangle.
