This study analyzes stakeholder perceptions of how the Coral Triangle has benefited from the US CTI Support Program and what tangible outcomes at the regional scale have been cascaded to the local scale. The study also provides important guidelines for future projects in terms of implementation strategy and thematic needs.

A new report in the journal Coastal Management (external link) identifies five themes that characterize successful marine protected area (MPA) networks in the Coral Triangle.
Based on six case studies, one from each Coral Triangle country, the report notes that these themes “provide important insights to guide future efforts to expand the CTMPAS (Coral Triangle Marine Protected Area System),” and also have value for MPA practitioners in other regions.
The “Essential EAFM” training course, developed for CTI-CFF, is gaining strong support among fisheries and conservation practitioners, agencies, and institutions across the region.
The WWF Coral Triangle Programme will focus on two key themes over the next three years, centered on sustainable fisheries, food security, and livelihoods.
