Mr. John Parks of USAID visited the Executive Director at the Regional Secretariat. During the meeting, his team and the Secretariat discussed future projects that could benefit the six member countries and be supported under the USAID PIO grant.

On 16–17 May, Dr. David Meyer, Executive Director of the Conservation Finance Alliance from Washington, visited the Regional Secretariat. He is currently serving as the Technical Expert working with the RS Executive Director to establish the Conservation Trust Fund for CTI-CFF. During his visit, he also gave a short talk on program financial planning to RS program staff, Mr. Anjum and Mr. Ichsan.

On 13 June 2022, RS Executive Director Dr. Mohd Kushairi attended an invitation by the Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines, H.E. Angelica C. Escalona, to a reception at the Grand Ballroom, Four Points by Sheraton Manado, in commemoration of the 124th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence.

On 13 June, in conjunction with Coral Triangle Day, which is celebrated annually on 9 June, the Regional Secretariat, together with CTC Bali and WWF, launched a webinar entitled “Celebrating Women in the Blue Economy.” The webinar aligns with the Coral Triangle Day 2022 theme: “Sustaining Coral Triangle Ecosystems through the Blue Economy.”
