USAID RDMA Visit

As a representative of USAID RDMA, Ms. Araya Poomsaringkarn visited the Regional Secretariat with a team from USAID SUFIA TS, led by Mr. John Parks. During the meeting, they discussed priority activities supported by both USAID SUFIA TS and USAID RDMA.

The following are the top priorities:

  1. Assessment of sustainable livelihoods and coastal areas
  2. Updating the COASTFISH regional framework
  3. Executive Course 2 on Climate Change Adaptation
  4. GIS education (for CT Atlas)
  5. Implementation of the COVID-19 Pandemic's Impacts on Women in the Coral Triangle
  6. Improving Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Regional Fisheries Organizations
  7. RS Stabilization: Trust Fund
  8. RS Enhancement: Communication, Information, and Outreach Materials
  9. RS Enhancement: Technical Training (EAFM exchange, PSE, e-CDT, MDA, IUUF training for CT3, knowledge portal)
  10. RS Strengthening: GESI (youth ambassadors, SSF, stateless fishers)
  11. RS Strengthening: Monitoring and Evaluation
