A Formal Meeting between Regional Secretariat of CTI-CFF and the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) of PNG

Mr. John Edward Kasu, Managing Director of NFA, led a formal meeting with the Regional Secretariat of CTI-CFF represented by Widi A. Pratikto, Ph.D., Executive Director of CTI-CFF, to discuss issues related to fisheries in PNG and the Coral Triangle region.

Mr. Pratikto encouraged NFA to participate more actively in CTI-CFF activities, particularly those related to the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM), which aims to establish food standards for the CT6 countries.

Mr. Kasu, on the other hand, welcomed the proposal and expressed willingness to cooperate further in the planned activities. He also highlighted several notable achievements accomplished by NFA in PNG.
