The Regional Secretariat of CTI-CFF paid a visit to Papua New Guinea (PNG) in preparation for the 12th Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) and the 6th Ministerial Meeting (MM) of CTI-CFF. The events are scheduled to be held in Port Moresby on 31 October – 3 November 2016.

Some positive meeting outcomes with senior officials of PNG:

  1. Updates on activities of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, including but not limited to the Deputy Executive Director (DED) selection process, partners’ cooperation, CTI-CFF CT-COM and CSO chairmanship turnover, and the full operation of the CTI-CFF Headquarters in Manado.
  2. PNG has ratified the Agreement on the Establishment of CTI-CFF.
  3. Proposed dates:
    • Pre-SOM Meeting: 31 October 2016
    • SOM-12: 1–2 November 2016
    • MM-6: 3 November 2016

The RS CTI-CFF team, represented by Dr. Widi A. Pratikto and Cepy Syahda, will continue the visit until 20 July 2016 to meet with relevant stakeholders in PNG.
