Message from the CTI-CFF RS ED on International Day of Tropics

CTI-CFF joins tropical countries and nations around the world in celebrating the International Day of the Tropics. The vast and valuable resources of the tropical region continue to play a significant role in global economic activity. The growing number of marine protected areas in this region ensures the protection of threatened and rare species, as well as the overall ecosystem, allowing marine resources to recover and remain sustainable. However, ongoing challenges such as overpopulation, climate change, disaster resilience, public health, and poverty cannot be overlooked. It is therefore critical to develop well-planned and sustainable solutions and actions to ensure that this important region thrives and continues to sustain life for generations to come.
