Happy Independence Day, Indonesia!

To the government and people of Indonesia, the CTI-CFF extends our congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

We trust that the strong bond and commitment within Indonesia and the five CTI-CFF Member States—namely Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste—in sustaining our marine and coastal resources through the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security, initiated in 2009 by the former President of Indonesia, will continue to safeguard these extraordinary resources by addressing issues such as food security, climate change, and marine biodiversity.

We also believe that with the strong will of the government and the people of Indonesia, COVID-19 will be managed and tackled successfully in due time.
