MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Executive Director of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, Widi A. Pratikto, Ph.D., and President and CEO of Pacific Rim Innovation and Management Exponents, Inc. (Primex), Elvira C. Ablaza, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the Financial Resources Working Group (FRWG) in Manila today.

The main objective of this MoU is to provide a framework for cooperation between the Parties in implementing the planned actions:

  1. Tri-National Workshop on the Establishment of a Sea Turtle Marine Protected Area (MPA) Network and Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance (MCS) System in the Sulu Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion (SSME).
  2. Select and hire a Financial Adviser/Project Initiation Specialist (FA/PIS), who will be seconded to the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat on a full-time basis.
  3. Support the participation of youth from CT3 Member States (Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines) in the 5th Asian Youth Forum (AYF5) and the 50th ADB Annual Meeting (ADB@50) in Yokohama, Japan.

 

Primex is representing ADB, one of the CTI-CFF Development Partners, which will provide technical advice and serve as Project Manager for the Coastal and Resources Management in the Coral Triangle: Southeast Asia (Regional Technical Assistance [RETA 7813]).

The MoU will end on 31 July 2017.
