MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Executive Director of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, Widi A. Pratikto, Ph.D., and President and CEO of Pacific Rim Innovation and Management Exponents, Inc. (Primex), Elvira C. Ablaza, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the Financial Resources Working Group (FRWG) in Manila today.
The main objective of this MoU is to provide a framework for cooperation between the Parties in implementing the planned actions:
- Tri-National Workshop on the Establishment of a Sea Turtle Marine Protected Area (MPA) Network and Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance (MCS) System in the Sulu Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion (SSME).
- Select and hire a Financial Adviser/Project Initiation Specialist (FA/PIS), who will be seconded to the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat on a full-time basis.
- Support the participation of youth from CT3 Member States (Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines) in the 5th Asian Youth Forum (AYF5) and the 50th ADB Annual Meeting (ADB@50) in Yokohama, Japan.
Primex is representing ADB, one of the CTI-CFF Development Partners, which will provide technical advice and serve as Project Manager for the Coastal and Resources Management in the Coral Triangle: Southeast Asia (Regional Technical Assistance [RETA 7813]).
The MoU will end on 31 July 2017.
