CTI-CFF presents the Regional Coral Triangle Network Officers (RCTNO)

The CTI-CFF recently welcomed the Regional Coral Triangle Network Officers (RCTNO), young professionals working in the fields of marine and coastal ecology, fisheries science, management, monitoring, and other related disciplines within government departments of the CT6 Member Countries. They are Ms. Conni Sidabalok, a marine biologist researcher from Indonesia; Ms. Phelameya Haiveta, a marine officer from Papua New Guinea; Mr. Simeon Baeto, a fisheries officer from Solomon Islands; and Mr. Sabino Adonia, a fisheries and aquaculture officer from Timor-Leste. All RCTNOs are currently serving in their respective government agencies.

The RCTNO is part of the CTI-CFF Capability Program, which aims to provide learning experiences for improving the implementation of the current Regional Plan of Action (RPOA); to engage and contribute to the renewal process of the RPOA; to enhance understanding of the Regional Secretariat’s functions; to strengthen linkages between National Plans of Action (NPOAs) and the RPOA; and to serve as focal points between the Regional Secretariat and their respective National Coordinating Committees (NCCs) for effective communication and collaboration.
