The Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF), in addressing threats to the health of coastal and marine ecosystems, continues to commit to the goals and objectives outlined in the Regional Plan of Action (RPOA) 2.0 for 2021–2030.
The RPOA 2.0 includes 2 goals, 3 objectives, 7 targets, 17 regional activities, 33 expected outcomes, and 90 expected outputs, to which all member countries actively contribute.
RPOA 2.0 addresses a variety of issues and incorporates strategies and management approaches to tackle them. It aims to improve the health of coastal and marine ecosystems, protect priority threatened species, and manage fisheries effectively across the Coral Triangle region. Regarding communities, it focuses on enhancing risk resilience and socioeconomic conditions, particularly in terms of food security and coastal livelihoods, ensuring these objectives are systematically addressed.
