The CTI-CFF Interim Regional Secretariat reflects on the achievements of 2011 and urges all CT6 countries, partners, and stakeholders to continue their efforts to ensure that the major milestones planned for 2012 are achieved.
"In reflection, this year we have accomplished many aspects of CTI-CFF. On the technical and programmatic side, there were direct activities in the field, establishment of thematic working groups, and regional exchanges on selected themes, to name a few. In governance and legal matters, there were financial resources meetings, business forums, and drafting of legal documents for the establishment of the Regional Secretariat. There were many more CTI-CFF related activities in each member country," said Suseno Sukoyono, Executive Chair of the CTI-CFF Interim Regional Secretariat.
"We have in our hands two roadmaps to guide us in 2012. One roadmap will direct programmatic, constructive events and field actions; the other addresses legal and financial processes toward the establishment of the permanent Regional Secretariat. The programmatic roadmap is a shared responsibility of both member countries and partners, whereas the legal processes are an internal challenge requiring the commitment of the six CTI-CFF member countries. The year 2012 will demonstrate how the countries can meet that challenge," he added.
