The CTI-CFF High Level Financial Roundtable is scheduled for May 3, 2012, and will be held as a special event during the 45th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila, Philippines. The event will include a formal meeting and marketplace sessions.
The roundtable aims to provide a venue for the Coral Triangle Initiative countries and the Regional Secretariat to generate additional funding for the implementation of the CTI-CFF National Plans of Action (NPOAs) and the Regional Plan of Action. It also offers donors an opportunity to communicate their funding priorities.
Development partners are currently assisting CTI-CFF National Coordinating Committees in Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste in preparing financial strategy documents. Each document will outline priority actions in the NPOAs, calculate activity costs, analyze balance sheets and funding gaps, review alternative strategies, and propose viable long-term funding mechanisms. These documents, along with supplementary materials such as activity brochures and posters, will be used in discussions with potential donors and partners during the roundtable.
