Helen Fox, Ph.D. Appointed as CTI-CFF Scientific Adviser

As part of the organization's growth and empowerment, the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat has appointed Helen Fox, Ph.D., a seasoned marine scientist, as Scientific Adviser today (4/7).

Helen specializes in coral reef ecology, marine conservation, marine protected area science, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

She brings extensive and valuable experience to CTI-CFF, particularly through her previous work as Senior Director of Research and Monitoring at Rare (2014–2016); Director of Marine Science at WWF (2012–2014); Senior Marine Scientist in the Conservation Science Program at WWF US (2004–2012); DH Smith Conservation Research Fellow at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, University of Hawaii at Manoa (2003–2004); and Ph.D. Researcher with The Nature Conservancy and UC Berkeley (1998–2002).

CTI-CFF Executive Director, Widi A. Pratikto, Ph.D., stated: “Helen’s appointment as CTI-CFF Scientific Adviser brings a depth of knowledge and experience formed through both academia and fieldwork across different continents and several coastal countries.”
