Indonesia, June 2020 – The Regional Secretariat of CTI-CFF, in coordination with WWF and youth organizations Kids for Kids (Philippines) and Sea Soldier North Sulawesi (Indonesia), conducted a webinar to raise awareness on the adverse impact of marine litter, especially plastic waste. The session also shed light on ocean conservation, the well-being of Coral Triangle communities, and highlighted the impactful work of youth organizations in the Philippines and Indonesia.

Resource persons included Ms. Jackie Thomas of the WWF Coral Triangle Programme; Ms. Isabella and Ms. Natasha Tanjutco, Founders of Kids for Kids Philippines and advocates of Bye Bye Plastic Bags Philippines; and Mr. Frengky Sihombing, member of Sea Soldier North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Dr. Mohd Kushairi Mohd Rajuddin, Executive Director of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, delivered the welcome remarks.
