Announcing the 20th Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM-20) of the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF)

8–11 December 2025 | Bali, Indonesia

We are set for an important week ahead. Beginning tomorrow, CTI-CFF will host the 20th Senior Officials’ Meeting, bringing together the Coral Triangle Six member countries — Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste — alongside our partners and collaborators from across the region and the globe for high-level dialogue and coordination in Bali, Indonesia. This year’s SOM is co-hosted by NCC Indonesia, which currently serves as the CTI-CFF Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) Chair for the 2025–2026 term, succeeding Timor-Leste.

The meeting will begin with Pre-SOM discussions, the technical preparatory stage where our Technical Working Groups (TWGs), the Governance Working Group, and the Cross-Cutting Initiatives meet with partners to review progress, align on key issues, and develop consolidated recommendations. These technical inputs then feed into the formal SOM-20 deliberations, the decision-making platform where senior officials consider those recommendations, review 2025 achievements, reflect on regional progress, and endorse priorities for the 2026 workplan—alongside other strategic matters essential to advancing our shared mission.

CTI-CFF stands ready to engage, collaborate, and lead together with our member countries, partners, and collaborators as we shape the strategic direction of the Coral Triangle for the years ahead.
