Mr. Gustaaf A. Lumiu is the new Deputy Executive Director for Corporate Services of the CTI-CFFRegional Secretariat. He has more than 35 years of experience working in international developmentassistance for Indonesia managing programs of multi million dollars and responsible in fiscalmanagement and reporting of bilateral and multilateral aids including USAID, UKAid, AusAID, WorldBank, and UNDP. He holds a qualification in alternative financing for development projects, institutionaldevelopment, trust fund, and responsible investment for the private sectors.
Prior to joining CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, he worked as a Finance Assistant for the ASEAN Secretariatin Jakarta, Indonesia from 1981 to 1991. He was responsible for managing the ASEAN Secretariat Fund,ASEAN-Japan Cultural Fund and other cooperation funds of the ASEAN partners. He also worked asDirector of Finance of the PACT, a US-based development organization. Also, he worked as a financedirector of the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (IBF/KEHATI), an Indonesian NGO to manage the US20 million Endowment Fund of Indonesian biodiversity project of the USAID-Indonesia and other trustfunds of KEHATI.
After his retirement from KEHATI in 2012, he worked as an independent consultant in variousdevelopment projects in Indonesia, such as the Millennium Challenge Account-Indonesia (MCA-I), two(2) projects preparation of GEF funding, the Enhancing the Protected Area System in Sulawesi (E-PASS)for Biodiversity Conservation and the Artisanal Small Gold Mining (ASGM) project for Indonesia.
Mr. Lumiu holds a Master Degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute Management inManila, Philippines.
