For the first time since its launch three years ago, the CTI-CFF has approved an Interim Secretariat Operations Plan, drafted with the support of the US CTI Support Program. This milestone was achieved during the 4th CTI-CFF Ministerial Meeting held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, on November 26, 2012.

The Operations Plan was developed to complement and harmonize with the CTI-CFF Communications Strategy, the 2013 Work Plan, and the Transition Plan toward establishing a CTI-CFF Permanent Secretariat. The Operations Plan focuses on seven key task areas, including the implementation of the 2013 CTI-CFF Activity Roadmap, and provides a management structure that incorporates anticipated donor-funded resources.

Meanwhile, the Communications Strategy and 2013 Work Plan—also drafted with support from the US CTI Support Program—outline a process for CT6 engagement to further develop key messages, identify capacity-building priorities, and formulate national plans that align with the regional strategy. The plan also includes a capacity-building component and prioritizes key audiences.
